Dr. Brad Schafer is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended undergraduate school at the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a BA in Liberal Arts.
After completing his time in Austin, he attended Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi where he completed his pre-requisite science courses to apply to dental school.
Dr. Schafer was accepted to dental school at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, where he graduated near the top of his class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Schafer completed his four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center, where he received extensive training in adult and pediatric anesthesia with rotations in internal medicine and general surgery as well.
Oral surgery training included orthognathic jaw surgery, trauma surgery, TMJ surgery, oral pathology, dental extractions, bone grafting, dental implants, cleft lip and palate, and “all on four” procedures.
Dr. Schafer is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons, the International Team for Implantology, and the American Dental Association, among other professional organizations.
In his free time, Dr. Schafer enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, hunting, fishing, and snowboarding.
